The Grift Problem In BJJ
SPEAKER_00BJJ grifters, people taking your money and not helping you get any better at jujitsu. There's a few of them out there. And what I want to do is I want to touch on a few products which may or may not help you. Well, name and shame the grift. No, no, it's it's one of those things that we within all good intentions, you know, um, people out here, they're hustling Joe. They're trying to make money. And people think, oh, that person seems trustworthy. That sounds like a good idea. Now, full disclosure, we have an app. We always say to people, please use our app. But truth is, there's a lot of people out there listen to the show, don't use our app, but might be getting into fitness, strength, all that, and power to you. Yeah, you're still welcome here, but fucking please buy the app. No, no, no. The thing is, like if you're lifting and you're stretching and you're looking after yourself, I don't care if you, you know, as long as you do that, that's great. That's what I'm about. But there's folks out there. Motherfuckers are grifting, they're making bucks off you. Certain folks, and what they'll do is they'll put maybe a famous jujitsu person in their ad. They might pay that person a lot of money. For example, even though the scientific research shows that wearing a knee brace or a certain brand.
SPEAKER_01Of course, before we start naming and shaming. So, you know, what do we want to do? We want to we want to go into some potential areas where we're seeing some some grifts going down.
SPEAKER_00Some grifts and also some, I'm gonna say questionable behavior, but maybe it's because I have a different perspective. So maybe I'm wrong here, folks. But you Perish the thought, JT. I mean, it's that kind of self-doubt doesn't get you anywhere. It's possible. It's possible I could be wrong. Look, I think it's one of those things where you can confirmation bias, right? Like I we're always looking to confirm our biases. But when someone starts promoting something and then they're like, oh, by the way, um I uh but they don't necessarily disclose this, but you've got to do a little bit of research. They may have invested in the company that provides the service. Yeah. Right.
SPEAKER_01Diary of a C exactly, right? But I've got like 478 companies or some shit. He does and and fair play.
SPEAKER_00So he's winning the capitalism game. He is now just straight up, you know, athletes need money. I get it, right? They need money, yeah, but oftentimes that means they promote a product that is not particularly useful, even though according to them they think, oh, it seems good enough.
SPEAKER_01You know, let's talk about a great product. Let's one one where that a great athlete promoted, where the product is made by someone we know that is a good product. Base blocks, true, base blocks. No, that's true. Created by an Australian um jujitsu black belt from Sydney, Jason. Yeah, we know Jason's awesome and he is a lovely guy. But he got GSP, GSP promotes shit out of it, and from all from everything I can see, the brand is growing and good stuff, Matt. I know people that bought it, like, yeah, it works really well for me. I'm like, that's a that's a great thing.
SPEAKER_00That is a good example, but not all. There's not I I I think there is less examples of that than there is more people out there, maybe you know, talking a good game, but they are receiving a greater benefit than you would be aware of, and they are actually ripping you off. Please fucking come on, let's get into it. Let's go there, fucking.
Knee Brace Claims Versus Science
SPEAKER_00So, for example, and and and people know that I am not a big fan of a certain knee brace, which is uh a brand that is named after a large snake. I don't know, I should probably get sued for defamation. But for example, someone was paid a lot of money, a reasonably famous jujitsu athlete, a few actually. I think a couple of B Team boys, they might have talked about it. B team all about it.
SPEAKER_01Um there's HP, great USP, um uh UFC fighter. Yep. One of the best grapp one of the best, some of the best jujitsu we've seen in the UFC. Yes. Who's who I think might be a part owner of the maybe has a stake. Right.
SPEAKER_00But people getting paid a lot of money, right? Even though the science shows that wearing a knee brace when you have a knee injury doesn't actually improve your rehab or speed recovery. If anything, it's been shown to slow it down. Even though we have talked about how, oh, if I put on a knee brace, it feels better, right? So there's a psychological, oh, I'm I'm protecting my knee, but actually that's not what it does. And so uh, I believe it was BJJ Doc. He had done a sighting of three studies that showed knee braces, specifically when you have suffered ligament damage to your knee, not complete rupture, actually didn't improve knee recovery. If anything, it reduced it because it took over the role of the muscles, which you're trying to retrain to support the knee.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, so I I gotta go on on the context for me on the fucking can we say the name? We can't say the name. No, let's not let's not say that. You guys know who we're talking about. And if you don't, give it a few months. You'll be Instagram will know that you need a knee brace shortly. Um, but the I I got no problem with uh with a with a knee brace or a shoulder brace, right? I got no problem. I do. I do hear you do, you do, but but I got no problem. I wore I wore one a little bit in my knee rehab. Sure. And whatever, call it psychological, felt good, helped me train. Um, but what I have a problem with is when a brand markets a product as doing something that is blatantly not true. Sure. Right? So you can be like, hey, we got this thing, it's gonna fucking help you train, feel supported, get back on the mat sooner, right? But this this brand literally is like, you'll rupture your ACL and get back to training tomorrow with this knee. And they've got like little infographics of like week one, like you've slapped your leg in half. Week two, you got the knee brace arrived, and and like you're back at training, and you're like, that is super misleading because you've got people out there that are copping serious knee injuries, and they're like, fuck, I can't believe it. There's this $16 product that's that's no one told me about it.
SPEAKER_00$60 product.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, right. And I'm seeing these elite grapplers who obviously know my problem. Yeah, like they've been through this, and then uh you just go and do it, and then you fuck your knee up a thousand times worse.
SPEAKER_00Also, we've got to put it out there that some of these athletes are enhanced. So if you're taking large amounts of testosterone and growth hormone, things heal fast. Yeah, that shit works pretty good for the fucking knee rehab. Growth hormone straight into the fucking knee. It's like, ah, it seems like things are healing quickly here. Yeah. Fucking wolverine meds. That's look, that's the first cab off the rank.
SPEAKER_01But so, but so there's a there's a level, you know, to be clear, there's a level of ethics when it comes to marketing.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01And there's nothing there's nothing wrong with promoting your product or or or outlining the benefits, but when you outline benefits which are clearly untrue, this is misleading and this is unethical. And I and jujitsu's jujitsu's ripe for this. For sure.
SPEAKER_00And I'm not saying these athletes knew that it didn't work and they're lying. I'm not saying that. No, no, no. But I'm saying the people who run scrupulous individuals. Well, they're just they're just trying to make some money, right? But I don't want you guys to be misled. And I I think this is where we've got to get into it because you go, hey, they're an expert, I trust them, I'm gonna take their
Sponsorships That Blur The Truth
SPEAKER_00word for it. Yeah. Right? So you just go with that. In the same way, you might have seen uh a really cool video of Helena Craver with some bands just rolling around and doing some guard, and she's like, hey, this is what I use as part of my warm-up to make me do great jujitsu. And you know, like, I haven't seen it, were it like resistance kind of bands? Yeah, sort of. These I'm I don't know that I do know the specific name of the brand, I won't name it, but you you've seen many clips of either judo folks, wrestling folks, and now some jujitsu folks have been paid doing grappling movements with these bands. And there's many people out there who will attest to like how good these bands are for grappling, and it's like actually, no, it's not causal. There's correlation. You've got some beast Georgian wrestler who is a tank.
SPEAKER_01I'll fucking buy anything that can't sell it.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, you're like, oh, yeah, I want to be that guy. Yeah, give me the injections. No, and he's doing some wrestling. Souples brand, that Russian brand. They might it they I'm not naming that brand specifically. There are many versions of this thing. These bands uh have varying degrees of resistance, but they're quite sloppy. And dudes are doing dynamic movements, people like, wow, dynamic training, that's gonna make me powerful. You're like, no, old mate Georgia. Well, I don't even know if it's a level up, could be a level down, to be honest. But the problem is people see someone who they admire and they're like, oh, they use this, but that person doesn't go, hey, I got paid $50,000, so I'm definitely sprooking this, right?
SPEAKER_01I mean, that that sounds whack to me, but just to be clear, is that a grift or is that just a hundred percent it's a grift?
SPEAKER_00You don't agree with its effectiveness. It's a hundred, it's both. I don't agree with the effectiveness, it's also a grift. Because if you look at Hel Helena Craver, and I'm not I'm not shooting shots at her, if you look at her career, at at almost no point in her kind of blue, purple, rise, do you see her using these bands? No, but then suddenly as champion, she's like, this is what I use to enhance my BJJ. And you're like, that is fucking lies.
SPEAKER_01But is it but is Nike grifting when they sponsor an NFL athlete who hasn't worn Nike's forever? Yeah, of course they are. No, because now I think you're devaluing an actual grift. Whereas, like, say with the knee bracing, I'm like, that is a legitimate grift in my eyes. That is unethical, they're telling lies in their market. Yeah, yeah, Nike. Nike is also telling lies and is is is unethical too. But I mean, say what you want. But to say, like, but to say, like to put the product in someone's hands and go, look, they're gonna have influence. I uh if they're for me, if they're not making claims that are outlandish, then I'm like, well, it's it's it's the viewer's eye that makes the correlation.
SPEAKER_00Is you have not seen the clips of Helena Craver like doing role, like, no, no, no, but I'm I'm asking you to I'm asking you to sell it to me. I know you're you don't like it. I'm not I'm not trying to sell it, I'm trying to call it out for fucking bullshit. JT's bullshit minimization framework. Here's the thing you might see that and go, wow, Helena Craver is one of the best female competitors of all time. She says she uses this thing. Maybe I should give that a try. Maybe you fucking shouldn't. Maybe that is not what makes her great at all. I think it only takes a little bit of digging to go, this is not true. Like that is a blatant lie, and that person's being paid to lie. That's what that's not a fucking grift. Well, that sounds like sponsorship. No, sponsorship is That's product placement. No, no, no, no. What is being stated there is this will enhance your performance. So let me throw to I'm I'm I'm a date myself here, but let's throw back to the 90s, 90s basketball. There
The Sprite Lesson On Hype
SPEAKER_00was a sprite ad with Grant Hill, and there's this guy like runs up and like Grant Hill's doing 360 dunks, and then he pulls up on the side and pulls out a sprite, and this guy goes, Grant Hill, drink Sprite. So then this guy goes and grabs a Sprite, has a drink, and tries to do a dunk, breaks it and falls and eats shit. And like Sprite's like, yeah, like refresh yourself. Like, don't it's not gonna make you Grant Hill. And I think that that's that was hilarious, but also true. Like, just because that superstar does the thing doesn't mean it's gonna do shit for you. Yeah. Right? Right.
SPEAKER_01So you can say, oh, it's sponsorship, but it's also like No, but but that ad's funny because we saw all the other ads where where the where the athlete and then the person drank it and then they did dunk. Yes. Like that was the conditioning, right? Of course. Oh my god, like Mountain Dew Coke, whatever. Sure. And so Sprite, like, well, we're gonna do this thing where we have the opposite where we actually hit you with the real shit. Yeah. And that makes us look like the cool kid. Sure. Right. So I I but I and while I don't This episode is not sponsored by Sprite. Mountain Dew was sir. But but why I've had it like four times in my life. It's pretty good. But bees. No, but I just I I think it's I'm like, I'm with you in that, like, yeah, that sounds whack. Don't get the product. But I don't necessarily think that that uh that achieves grift status in my in my mind. That certainly does not hit at the same level as as the knee brace. Oh, not possibly. Like you're putting putting those two next to her. I'm like, nah, the fucking thing where I think because they're telling you they're gonna fix your fucking ACL.
SPEAKER_00Sure. But what I'm saying is from the athlete's perspective, this is where I'm trying to go to. The companies, they're just trying to sell their product, right? They don't care really what benefit it does for you. What I'm saying is if an athlete says this does X or I endorse it, it's not just I endorse this product, they say, Yeah, I use this, and they don't use it. That's a lie. That's a grift. Maybe. Whereas she does or she doesn't. She fucking doesn't. Like you look at her. We don't know that. We fucking do, bro. You can look at the footage, look at her at the side of the mat, look at her at training.
SPEAKER_01Because she's not using it in her warm-up on the side of the phone, which she's no, not at all.
SPEAKER_00And she says, like, this is what I use to enhance my training. It's fucking bullshit. Anyway, I don't say that because I'm trying to sledge her particularly. She's an amazing thing. I don't give a fuck. This is no fucks given. Let's rip in. So sorry, Joe, that wasn't a good enough griff for you. Let's talk about deeper, more serious griffs.
Grappling Dummies And False Progress
SPEAKER_00So uh a thing which has changed in Judiciary. So let me go to something which is ineffective, which we are pretty aware of, but every on boredom because of maybe COVID. Um, grappling dummies, right? So, oh, you don't have someone to train with? Here's a boxing bag with arms, and people are like, yo, I'm drilling all the time on my grappling dummy. I feel like my armbars are getting sick against no resistance, a little bit of, you know, and whatever. People doing what they could, they were stuck in isolation. Companies are like, shit, we just need to chuck some arms in our punching bags. Let's go. Sew that shit on. Let's go as fast as you can. And it became a thing. And it was very much because people didn't, they couldn't either through isolation, couldn't train or they wanted to train at home, and and it really became a thing. But then obviously, we've got you know the anti-drilling movement, people saying it doesn't even work when you train with real people. How the fuck's it gonna work with some some bag, right? And straight away I could just look at grapple dummies and be like, nah, that's some bullshit. But a lot of people bought it, right? And I'm not attributing that to any specific athlete. I don't remember who promoted those, but there was a lot of ads for them at one time. Yeah, and and you you go to many gyms and you just see one in the corner with a with a G top on it or something, just some skeleton relic of of scammery, right? Because maybe no one's using it anymore. It's the flashlight of the sex of the grappling industry.
SPEAKER_01I mean, there's gonna be cats listening and it's probably been cleaned less. Like, man, look, I've been without a partner for like two decades, and I got 16 flashlights, and I love them. I love that shit. Every single one of those mother, I fucking you know what I mean? They sit around me at the dinner table, I make them love.
SPEAKER_00Oh, welcome to the sex ro Sex Robot episode. No, we're not going there. I I want to go to Imagine that as a collab, a cultural trend, I want to go to a cultural trend. Sorry, we're getting off topic here. This is where I want to go to something deeper, which is But wait, what are you saying about grappling dummies? I'm saying that that is like the the tip of the iceberg of something that doesn't work, but a lot of people spent money on, right? Yeah. People did it. But is it a grift? No, no, but sorry, I mentioned that. I believe it is something ineffective that people do. Take that as you will. Let's go to the grift. This is where it goes much deeper here. This is I wanted to mention that as something. There are many things that people do in jujitsu, which they may believe is good for their jujitsu, but it probably is not.
SPEAKER_01Hey,
Electrolytes And Bar Sponsor Break
SPEAKER_01if I can give you my honest recommendation for one of the best supplements I've implemented in my daily, particularly for my jiu-jitsu training, it's sodium. It's these electrolytes. We talk about them all the time. They've sponsored the show for some time, but it's excellent. Flavor's great, but more importantly, the electrolytes are exactly what my body wants in a hard, sweaty jujitsu session. It replenishes uh my system with all the stuff that I need after all of that sweat. Uh, magnesium, potassium, salt, it's great stuff. You can get yourself a bunch and you can get yourself a discount if you go to sodi sodoui.com.au and you use the code Bulletproof15, you get 15% off your order.
SPEAKER_00Today's show is brought to you by our good friends at Raised Nutrition, Raised the Bar. They've got all the flavors. They've got Tropical Asae. If that doesn't speak BJJ, I don't know what does. They've got salted caramel, which is delicious. And they've also got rich chocolate and roast almond, which goes awesome with coffee. So if you're looking for a snack to power your BJJ, this is built for you. Eat all the clean, good stuff without the nasties. Whether you're trying to get some energy before training or you're trying to speed your recovery after, go to raisenutrition.com and use the code Bulletproof and you'll get yourself some free bars. Get it today. Now, when you have an influential individual, whether they be a great athlete or a famous podcaster or something. Like how famous. Like as famous as a guess, more famous than us. Um, and they are promoting a product. So I want to talk about outside of jujitsu, and I want to come straight to the heart of jujitsu. For
AG1 And Affiliate Incentives
SPEAKER_00example, for those of you out there who listen to a variety of podcasts, AG1 is a supplement. Major grift. 100%, right? Proven to be a grift. Proven to be a grift, lucky. Unscrupulous operator. Lucky if it's even a good multivitamin, let alone any kind of green supplement, right? But the reason why any of those podcasters push it is they get 50% of every sale every time you buy it. Yeah, they make uh Rogan makes in the millions from AG1. Tim Ferris, Huberman, they are killing it on AG1. That's why they promote it. It is bullshit, my friends. And you're like, yeah, but fucking Rogan and oh, but Huberman's really smart. And like, yeah, they're running a business, and it's not bad for you, but it's not great for you either. It's just is, right? So let's go uh sidestep to the code. You're getting warmer. You're getting warmer. We're getting into the griff right now.
TRT Subscription Sales Tactics
SPEAKER_00There has been a change or there is a definite trend in health and fitness. Hey man, are you low testosterone? Maybe your T levels aren't what they should be. Big Hegseth says I am. Oh well, fucking you need to you need to dose up because there's some there's some strength required ahead, right? And so you get folks out there saying about you know, health's a problem, men's health, men's mental health. Like, you know what the problem is, low T levels, Joe. You know, and you know what? I'm hitting some TRT and I'm feeling fucking great, Joe. Imagine that. I'm not. Um you know what? I fucking know a very safe, reliable way for men to enhance their mental and physical health. Imagine that. You don't want to deal with steroid Steve, bikey Steve out the back of the fucking parking lot. You need to go to a safe medical tested practice. And when you use my code at my company I've invested in, you get 10% off. Now fuck that. What is not really being mentioned here by folks, so a a good example, well, I mean, Craig Craig Jones is is very open in terms of like, hey, you know what the problem with your problem is you're not taking enough steroids. Get on my steroid stack, you know, and and it's funny because he's so blatant, right? Yeah. What bothers me is when you have people who might be very influential, who sound very reasonable, very scientific, well researched, well spoken, and they're like, I'm taking TRT and I'm feeling great, and I'm smashing everybody at jujitsu. And look at me, I don't compete in masters, I'm a killer. Maybe, maybe it's something you should do. But then they are invested in a company that supplies that and they don't necessarily disclose that. That in and of itself, to me, is it's kind of it seems unsavory. Like if you said this is my company.
SPEAKER_01I think that's a that's a that's a highly it's a it's a it's a definite unethical, unethical way to go about it. Like if you right, because you're you you are promoting something that you you don't truly know what the outcomes of this thing are gonna be. No, right? For we we're all pretty certain that there's a pretty serious price to be paid for like you know, chronic whatever hormone intervention. Yes, right? Um, especially when it's not administered by someone that is an absolute specialist in that field. Um, so anyone that's yeah, that's like that has a company that sells that thing, that's then gone, hey man, just fucking anecdotally, like I'm really enjoying the way that I feel. I'm loving it. Yeah, and not and and I think I think the fact that you don't disclose that, I got no problem if I have less of a problem if you do disclose it, right? If you're like look, I'm in I'm in this game, but I also strongly think this thing is sick. But I think the Because because we could be like, I mean, we're not dealing in But unethical items. But but we could be like, yo, you know, but but seriously, though, get the app, it's sick. Like, but we're but we're telling you, like, you know, like you don't have to do it, but you should do it. You know, but I feel really good about it.
SPEAKER_00You know what I mean? I know, but I understand what you're saying here, but what I'm saying is pushing drugs, subscription drugs. Let's go, Derek, more plates, more dates. He was having a fucking heart attack about eight months ago because the government was gonna change legislation about being able to prescribe hormones over the internet, and that would have created his fucking business model. So, whatever you say about Derek and what he does, like the dude is bawling out of control off subscription steroids, right now, TRT, right.
SPEAKER_01So there's plenty of is he involved with the one that sponsored CJI and shit?
SPEAKER_00Uh Merrick Health, it might be. Yeah, is that his brand? I don't I I honestly don't know. Okay. But I believe that they've because he had I think he had Craig on at one point. Right. Anyway, the interesting thing is TRT, if you have less than like your whatever normal testosterone levels are, it's shown that to bring them up to a healthy level has benefits. But then to go beyond that, it's kind of like it's uh pros, cons, like there's actually not a lot of research to show that chucking a whole bunch of testosterone above a certain level is more beneficial than it is negative. Right. Right? Yeah. And now when you put this in the context of, say, mental health, saying, oh man, you know, you feel stronger and better if you're if you weren't low T, well, I know a lot of people who aren't doing TRT, they're punching a lot of steroids, and you the mad drawback on that is the infinite dive of depression and you know emotional deregulation and self-doubt and anxiety that comes when people cycle off because they're no longer superhuman, they don't feel as good. So the thing that is highly questionable about this because I don't like the idea of a dependency, like even me, like my caffeine intake, right? Full disclosure, it's fucking unhealthy. And more recently, I have been thinking, I gotta stop this because it's just not working. Like 12 coffees a day is not working, like this is fucking unhealthy. Funny you mention it, Joe. I was thinking of upping my dice. You need to try trate that shit. Yeah, I was just thinking I just need to inject. If I could smoke it, if I could break it down into a resin. Suck your dick, man. Just turn into the back of the warehouse. Just turn into two co. Yeah. Take, take, start twitching. Here's the thing. I really I in myself can see I have my own unhealthy behaviors, right? And I wouldn't want to encourage other people to do it. I kind of actually joke around about how extreme my caffeine intake is. But when you build a business around something which you're not actually a hundred percent certain on how it's gonna work for someone else, and you encourage them to buy in for a monthly subscription, it's like it seems dodgy to me. Yeah. It feels like a grift. And when it comes to the mats, and we know that in jujitsu we have a steroid problem, people are like, oh, I'm just a bit of TRT. And you're like, well, look, man, if you just if you actually just go on full-blown steroids, just say that's what you're doing. It it feels to me that I'm on the Vitor TRT, that kind of one. Does that TRT also include TRC? Like, look, I think the thing is with there's a big difference with people who have health issues and they need hormone therapy or they need different help to help them be healthy. But what I'm getting to is there are folks in the jujitsu community who uh may attribute certain things to one thing or another, and they want your money for misattribution. This is what I'm talking about.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00And they are not only making money at the front end, they're making money at the back end because maybe they own that company or they have a significant investment in that company.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. I mean, so you know, sort of adjacent to that, um, which you know, someone is invested in such a company and then is also promoting the thing, highly unethical in my books. Um,
Steroids Disclosure And Liver King
SPEAKER_01but I I also think that um you could like if you're a jiu-jitsu athlete that has a profile and you uh you and you're using, you know, performance-enhancing drugs, um, and by virtue of you having a profile, you have influence over other people. Um, I also think that you have uh I think that you it it does make you a scumbag for you not to be disclosing that you take performance-enhancing drugs because you are and and you can make the you can of course, and you will make the argument that there's nothing wrong with it and that what you choose to do is your choice and people that choose to be influent, that's their choice. And there, and I can see where there is that in some like in some through some lens, yes, that makes sense. But the reality is that we know is that people take influence from influential people, yes. And so I think that there's a greater onus on people of influence to not mislead those that, yeah, for whatever, maybe they shouldn't trust you so much, but you got a million followers, so perhaps they do.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, and so this is where and and I think let me just go sideways to that, like but uh adjacent, I should say, Liver King. Do you know how many people came up to me and went, Did you did you know Liverking was on steroids? What? What? Like, what it's not the eight ancestral tenants? Yeah, it's not just the sun on his anus in the morning, like what? Like, I I think the difficulty is a lot of people because you're bombarded with so much stuff, because social media, social media has really bamboozled folks with so many images of ripped, jacked people. Like, isn't that just what people are now? Haven't we just evolved in the last five years?
SPEAKER_01Smart training, right? Yeah, it's just how many hours of sleep do you think he gets on? Optimal. Like, yeah. I mean, fuck, I I I yeah, I I I mean, I don't think if you had to ask me, I don't think I've ever would have said no, I don't believe he is on steroids, but but I I'd be lying if I said I didn't look at, you know, see somebody's gonna be like, whoa, what's he eating? Fuck, what's he show me his training? Fuck. Wow, that's something. And you know, in that I'm making these, I'm putting these things together like yeah, bull's testicles, yeah. Raw honey on top of on top of your fucking yeah, you know what I mean. And then and then you like slap yourself out of it and you're like, no, you fucking bonehead. But um, but that's but that's how that shit works, right? That's how that's how branding and and influence works. But anyway, I I I just think that there's a lot of fucking scumbaggery out there, especially in the realm of TRT and steroids. Yeah. And I think that right now is a time where we're seeing like a peak of that, yeah, because um governments haven't been able to catch up in terms of regulations and laws, particularly when it comes to the digital domain. And I think that there's a lot of motherfuckers that are gonna have blood on their hands, uh, and that won't like we won't see the effects of that for many years down the track.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. And uh look, you've just got to ask yourself a question, right?
How To Vet Claims And Ads
SPEAKER_00If you look at any person promoting anything, the main things I promote are doing jujitsu and lifting weights and trying to do that for as long as you can in your life as possible, right? It doesn't mean you have to pay me any money. I'm not I'm not interested in you paying me money, I'm more interested in you having a good long jujitsu life. But there are folks out there telling you, oh, you know, I'm I'm healthy and I'm fit and I'm this and I'm that and I'm also a champion. And, you know, maybe you should get up on what I'm up on. But what they're not fully disclosing is how they make their money. And I think this is absolutely it's not just snake oil, it's like a lack of transparency. And the grift is fucking on. So if I were you, don't believe everything you see, read, or hear on the internet, but dig a little bit deeper and the grifters will be revealed.
